Fund Forum’s education projects presented in Austria
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An Uzbek-Austrian education forum in Vienna included a presentation of Fund Forum’s education projects. The presentation was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan with assistance from the Vienna University of Technology.

The event was attended by members of Austria’s ministries of foreign affairs, science, education and culture as well as representatives of higher educational institutions such as the University of Graz, the University of Vienna, the Vienna University of Technology and other schools. The presentation was organized in partnership with the Vienna University of Technology, one of the biggest schools in Austria.

The event participants had the opportunity to get detailed information about Fund Forum’s activities in and outside Uzbekistan, including about major projects to support the youth and education such as Kelajak Ovozi (Voice of the Future) National Talented Youth Contest, the Educational Grants Program, the Program of Scholarships for Talented Students, the Pedagogical Grants Program and Yangi Avlod (New Generation) Children’s Art Festival among others.

Those who made speeches during the presentation were the Dean of Information Technologies Herald Steinhardt, a representative of the Austrian foreign ministry Alois Krott and a representative of Austria’s Center for International Education Cooperation Thomas Reinbach. The rest of the participants exchanged opinions and discussed prospects of cooperation with Fund Forum in culture, art and academic exchange.

Herald Steinhardt, the Dean of Information Technologies, the Vienna University of Technology:

“Young people in Uzbekistan are very talented and struggle to study hard and learn new things. Therefore, Fund Forum’s efforts to support the youth deserves particular attention. In this sense we’re willing to boost cooperation with Uzbekistan. I am convinced that this event will make a weighty contribution to our endeavors to build educational links between our two countries.”

Professor Herbert Ipser, the University of Vienna:

“I am impressed by the activities conducted by Fund Forum in the area of education, culture, art and sports. Young people in Uzbekistan are lucky to have an organization like Fund Forum. I believe that this sort of activities are very important and opportune. Today’s meeting where we exchanged opinions has shown that Austria and Uzbekistan should step up cooperation in education and study each other’s experience.”
