These books will be also presented at Moscow International book exhibition-fair and handed over to Executive Committee of the CIS to the Commonwealth History Museum.
Over 120 titles of books were presented at the Astana event. The jury selected the best books in seven nominations – Commonwealth, My Country, Book for children and youth, Culture. Science. Education, Art-Book, Published in the CIS and Grand Prix “Art of Book”.
The book “Masterpiece of architectural epigraphy of Uzbekistan” claimed the first place in nomination “Culture. Science. Education”. The book collected the best examples of calligraphy letters at architecture monuments in Uzbekistan.
The second book “Examples of oriental calligraphy and art of miniature” took the first place in the nomination “Published in the CIS”. The book presents unique examples of ornaments, book miniatures and calligraphy.
At Astana exhibition, the Uzbek books received two first places, one second place and two special diplomas, and took the second place in overall classification. The awarding ceremony will be held in September.
