From March 1, tariffs for fixed telephony to increase

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- National telecom operator Uzbektelecom will increase the subscription fee for fixed telephone communication from 1 March, the press service of the company said, the press service of Uzbektelecom said.

The monthly subscription for the population for using fixed telephone network rises from 3000 to 5800 soums, and the rural network from 1350 to 2600 soums.

The system of payments for the subscriber and time-based system of payment for services is abolished. In addition, the reduction factors are canceled for calls to local and long-distance networks in the evening and on weekends and public holidays.

The charge for conversations provided on credit from residential and hotel telephones, established for resident citizens, in excess of the charge for each conversation is canceled. At the same time, there are benefits for providing access to the network and for paying for using the telephone.

Tariffs for other universal services will remain the same.

The company recalled that since September 10, 2018, in connection with the transition to the nine-digit numbering system and the abolition of the "long-distance telephone service" service, a single tariff for local and long-distance communication services was established in the amount of 12 soums for each full or incomplete minute of a call, regardless of the distance set limit of 180 minutes per month.
