Francophonie Week to be held in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Week of Francophonie will be held in Tashkent, the Embassy of France in Uzbekistan said in a statement.

The Week is organized on occasion of 18 March – International Francophonie Day, which is marked annually. The Week of French language and Francophonie is a regular place of people, who love French language in France and abroad.

The Week allows public to honour French language and express their gratitude to the language, glorify its richness and diversity.

The event is organized by Embassies of the member states or observes of International Francophonie Organization, accredited in Tashkent.

National University of Uzbekistan will host stands of Bulgaria, Egypt, France, Georgia, Czech Republic, Romania, Switzerland and Ukraine.

Currently, International Francophonie Organization unites 80 states and governments. Over 274 million people talk in French language worldwide.
