Forum on social support of childhood, family kicks off in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ninth international forum “Spiritual and moral foundations of society in the social support system of childhood and family” started in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on 20 November 2012.

The event was organized by Republican Public Children Fund “Sen Yolg’iz Emassan” and Republican Center for Social Adaptation of Children.

International forum should become platform for dialogues and ideas in social protection of children with disabilities and children without parents. It is oriented to mutual exchange of innovation experience in this area.

The forum is aimed at improving state strategy in management of system on social protection of children, concretization of targets and goals of the activities of state, public and legislative bodies on ensuring rights and interests of children in Uzbekistan.

Representatives of Ministry of Public Education, Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, Ministry of Healthcare, Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare of Population, Ministry of Culture and Sport Affairs, UNESCO, UNICEF, educational establishments, foreign experts from Bosnia, Israel, India, Kazakhstan, USA, and other countries are participating at the event.

At the event, the participants considered state policy on creation of favourable conditions for intellectually and spiritually developed children and youth, support of families with many children, orphans, and others.

Currently, about 40% of population of Uzbekistan is children under the age of 18, and 65% of population is youth under the age of 30. Uzbekistan pays great attention to harmonic development of youth.

At the conference, activities of Sen Yolg’iz Emassan and Republican Center for Social Adaptation of Children have been presented. It was stated that these two organizations conducted large work in social support, educational, medical assistance and legal protection of children, their adaptation to difficult situations, etc.

Sen Yolg’iz Emassan, founded in November 2012, marks its 10th anniversary this year. The organization’s goal is to solve problems of children.

At the event, the participants will discuss modern approaches of management of social protection of children in Uzbekistan, lifting it to new level of innovative development.

Within the conference, it is planned to hold various roundtables, discussions, roundtables, as well as work of target-groups. The recommendations will be adopted in the result of the conference.
