Participants of the meeting discussed actual problems of multilateral cooperation and exchanged opinion on international affairs of mutual interest.
Participants approved a draft declaration on further development of multilateral cooperation, which will be adopted at upcoming meeting of the heads of the states of CIS on 5 December 2012.
CIS Foreign Ministers also considered development of cooperation in humanitarian sphere. The sides agreed a draft plan on priority measures in humanitarian cooperation of the CIS states for 2013-2014 and a draft agreement on cooperation on environment protection.
Foreign Ministers of the CIS agreed a draft decision on preparations to celebrations of the 70th anniversary of World War II, which is expected to be approved at the CIS leaders’ summit.
Participants also agreed draft agreements, directed at ensuring collective interaction in fighting terrorism and extremism, development of military education. The reports of CIS bodies were considered.
Part of documents, considered at the meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers, will be discussed at the CIS leaders’ summit. Foreign Ministers also considered some issues of organizational and protocol character.
