Foreign consultant to be attracted for a recreation complex

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 5 January 2019, the Uzbek Embassy in the Benelux countries held a ceremony to sign an agreement on attraction of the Belgian consultant to the Asia Tour Elite Uzbek company for implementation of the Zangiata thermal wellness project. It was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

From the Uzbek side, the document was signed by the General Director of Asia Tour Elite, Akmal Kasymov, and from the Belgian side, by the director of the law firm Yukon, Jean de Brabander.

The agreement implies that a foreign consultant will assist in identifying a major international investor with experience in implementing such tourist complexes, as well as provide comprehensive services in formulating an investment memorandum, developing and maintaining legal documents.

As noted, the proposed project "will become the largest health spa in Uzbekistan." It is assumed that the users of its services will be not only residents of Tashkent region, but also citizens of Kazakhstan and other neighboring states. The project envisages the construction of 400 hotel rooms of a sanatorium type, a whole complex of health procedures with the provision of both sanatorium and basic medical procedures.

The signing of the document coincided with the publication in mass media of the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan “On additional measures to accelerate the development of tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan” and the Resolution “On measures to accelerate the development of the tourism industry”, which aim to transform tourism into a strategic sector of the economy through diversification and improvement services, improving tourism and transport infrastructure.

The adoption of documents in the coming years should turn the tourism industry, including medical tourism, into one of the drivers of the comprehensive development of the country and its regions.

As reported by the Embassy of Uzbekistan, immediately after the publication of reports on the acceptance of these documents, the embassy received calls from potential foreign tourists and representatives of interested travel agencies.
