Fixed broadband Internet penetration in Uzbekistan is 9.1 subscribers per 100 people
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Penetration of fixed broadband Internet in Uzbekistan in 2016 is 9.1 subscribers per 100 people, research data “The state of broadband connection 2017” said.
The report was presented by the United Nations Commission on Broadband for Digital Development.
The report noted that penetration of the mobile Internet in Uzbekistan was 55.9 subscribers per 100 people in 2016.
According to the report, the share of households with the Internet in Uzbekistan was 75.4% at the end of 2015.
The study stated that the share of individuals with access to the Internet in Uzbekistan is 46.8% at the end of 2016.
The study is a joint initiative of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and UNESCO and prepared by a special commission on broadband, established in 2010, whose mission is to promote development of digital technologies in the world.
