Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  The qualification stage (RfQ) of the tender for the modernization and management of Urgench International Airport under the public-private partnership (PPP) model, announced on 1 August, 2024, has been completed. This was reported by the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan.

Following a thorough evaluation of the submitted bids, the interdepartmental tender commission approved a list of companies that successfully passed the qualification stage.

Out of eight participants, five companies have been advanced to the next stage — the request for proposals (RfP), from which the tender winner will be determined.

The PPP project for the modernization and management of Urgench International Airport was initiated by the Government of Uzbekistan and is being implemented in cooperation with Uzbekistan Airports, the Ministry of Transport, and the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
