Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held a meeting with Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi.

The talks, which took place in Kabul, marked the first round of political consultations at the level of the foreign ministers of the two countries.

During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening regional connectivity, developing economic partnership, jointly managing water resources, and supporting initiatives in education and the preservation of cultural heritage.

Bakhtiyor Saidov emphasized that Uzbekistan will continue to advocate on the international stage for broader integration of Afghanistan into regional and global processes aimed at ensuring lasting peace, sustainable stability, and shared progress.
