Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 December 2018, a troupe of the State Academic Bolshoi Theater named after Alisher Navoi hosted a staging of the ballets Firebird and Scheherazade on stage.

In October 2018, People’s Artist of Russia Andris Liepa and Honored Artist of Russia Igor Pivorovich arrived in Tashkent for staging the Firebird and Shakherezada ballets.
The Tashkent audience is waiting for a combination of Oriental motifs of Scheherazade and the Russian fairy tale The Firebird: two stories merge together, remaining completely different in plastic. Much work has been done by both directors and the troupe of the theater named after Alisher Navoi.
The original scenery for the production was lost. Andris Liepa restored them according to the sketch found in the Tretyakov Gallery. The costumes of artists are distinguished by the complexity of embroidery, intricate shapes and brightness of fabrics.
