Finalists of competition “ROBO CODERS 2019” determines

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 24 February 2019, the final round of the competition “ROBO CODERS 2019” was held, organized by the Directorate of the Innovation Center to support the development and implementation of information technologies “Mirzo Ulugbek Innovation Center” with the assistance of the National Agency for Project Management under the President of the Republic Uzbekistan.

The final was held in spacious and equipped with modern equipment and computers in the classrooms of Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad Al-Khoramiy.

Deputy Director of the Agency Davron Maksudov noted the importance of identifying talented young people and holding such competitions in the context of measures carried out under the guidance of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. Mirziyoyev to train professional personnel in the field of programming, increase the competitiveness of technologies produced in our country, modern ICT, and, in general, the production of high-quality products.

The competition "ROBO CODERS 2019" was held within the framework of the execution of tasks defined in Presidential Decree of January 10, 2019 No. UP-5624 "On measures to further improve the activities of the National Agency for Project Management under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan".

The main objectives of the competition are to identify and support, attracting to the ICT sector, the development of business activity of talented youth of the republic.

Some 415 young programmers attended the contest and about 50 of them reached the final. The participants had chance to assess their skills in solving problems with logical computation and algorithms. Each participant, in accordance with the task received, created his own code based on the principles of robotics (movements, given functions, etc.).

“The final competition differs from the first stage in the level of complexity of the cases set,” says the first deputy director of the Mirzo Ulugbek Innovation Center Orifjon Fayziev. - The participants were assigned tasks in robotics with logical calculations and algorithms. The system automatically identified the correct answers, as well as the uniqueness and time to solve the tasks, which excluded the influence of the human factor on the process of determining the winners. ”

The contestants were divided into three age categories: from 15 to 20 years old, from 21 to 25 years old, and from 26 to 30 years old. The only criterion for participation was the ability to write codes for creating automated machines. The competition program included 9 places of honor and several encouraging nominations.

The first places were taken by Saidjalol Hasanov (in the category of 26-30 years old), Sirojiddin Abdukarimov (in the 21-25 year old category) Nazarbek Boltabaev (in the 16-20 year old category).

The second place went to programmers Sunatullo Hojiev, Murodjon Davronov, Jamshid Kodirov.

The honorable third place was taken by Nodirbek Sadullaev, Khurshid Juraev, Asadullo Ganiev.

All winners were awarded valuable prizes and gifts.
