Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A branch of the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography named after S. Gerasimov (VGIK) begins its activities in Tashkent since the current academic year, the Dunyo news agency reports.
The President of Uzbekistan adopted the resolution "On the organization of the activities of the branch of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography named after S.A. Gerasimov in the city of Tashkent”. The document envisages training of the highly qualified specialists in film making.
The branch is a higher educational institution - a separate structural subdivision of VGIK with the status of a legal entity. He has been carrying out educational activities since the 2021/2022 academic year.
The branch will conduct educational activities in full-time and part-time forms of study, as well as in distance form using information and communication technologies.
The plan of admission to the branch is approved by the decision of the Board of Trustees of the branch in agreement with the Ministry of Culture of Russia, VGIK and the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of Uzbekistan, taking into account the need for appropriate personnel.
The graduates of the branch who studied on the basis of a state grant are assigned to a film company, television and radio company or an organization in the field of film and television with the condition of compulsory work for a period of at least five years.
