FIFA officials discussed issues on professionalization of Uzbekistan Football Federation (UDD) activities. The sides also considered issues on strengthening the UFF ties with neighbouring Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.

Opening the meeting, UFF President Mirabrar Usmanov said Uzbekistan pays special attention to development football in the country. He said three Goal projects were launched in Uzbekistan with help of FIFA and AFC.

Usmanov said Uzbekistan is ready to host international competitions. He added that Uzbekistan is ready to host World Cup in youth level and will make such proposals in future.

Head of FIFA professionalization programme Urs Zanitti said all Central Asian countries should pay attention to professionalization of their association. FIFA launched new programme, which is continuation of Gol and Futuro projectsm, he said.

Zanitti said the programme focuses on improvement activity of football associations. He said Uzbekistan made huge work on football development and expressed hope that work will continue further.
