Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In 2021, Samarkand Half Marathon will hold a series of three races, the first of which will be the festival of sports, music and art in Zaamin.
The competition will be held from 26 to 27 June on the territory of the Zaamin National Natural Park. The main goal of this project is to popularize a healthy lifestyle, develop cultural tourism, familiarize the population of Uzbekistan, including the younger generation, with active sports.
The sports program will consist of 50 km (ultra marathon), 21 km, 10 km races, Nordic walking and a beginner's run of 2 km each. In addition to the sports program, the participants and their friends will enjoy concerts of electronic music, as well as cultural and entertainment programs. Open-air food outlets will be deployed on the territory of the starting town.
The series of races will consist of three events, the second is planned to be held in Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region. The culmination will be the already traditional charity half marathon in Samarkand, which will be held from 5 to 7 November this year. Thus, Samarkand Half Marathon begins its journey across the country, conquering new cities.

Those who wish will be able to use the transfer services from Tashkent and Jizzak to the venue of the competition. Electronic registration of participants for the running event ends on June 25, 2021 at 23:59 (Tashkent time). Participants who registered before June 13 at 23:59 (Tashkent time) will be able to receive a personalized start number. The registration amount is from 150 to 200 thousand soums, depending on the configuration of the starter package.
All funds received from the entry fees, the Art and Culture Development Foundation under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan will direct to the charitable cause of Samarkand Half Marathon 2021.
