Festival of Korean films starts in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Cinema Festival of South Korea started in Tashkent on 20 April. The event, held within the Korean culture festival, has been organized by the Ministry of culture and sport of Uzbekistan, Fund Forum of culture and art of Uzbekistan, Ministry of culture, sport and tourism of South Korea and the South Korean embassy.

The cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Korea has been expanding year after year in all areas. The cinematographers of the two countries regularly hold festivals in Uzbekistan and South Korea.

“Your country is located on the crossroads of the Great Silk Road and is known for its rich culture and history,” South Korean film director Kim Young Soon said.

“The Korean films festival will contribute to further strengthening of the cultural cooperation between our countries,” he added.

The films to be shown during the festival tell about the traditions and customs, culture and art of the Korean people, UzA reported.
