Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Participants at the AFC ’C’ Certificate Coaching Course here are hoping to build on what they have learned at the U13 AFC Festival of Football.

Nurjan Djectybaev and Begench Garaev are among the Central Asian young coaches taking part in the course.

The purpose of the course is to help them gain a recognised coaching qualification and enable them to put into practice what they have learned during the Festival.

After Day 4 of the course, school coach Djectybaev said: “This course has taught me a lot of good things about coaching. I’ve learned about different coaching styles as well as making the sessions fun, enjoyable and interesting.

“The children seemed to enjoy the sessions and I believe I have achieved all the objectives set out for me.”

Djectybaev is keen to pass the course and obtain his C license before attempting the ’B’ level certificate.

Garaev has set his sights on the highest possible Asian qualifying, an AFC Pro License. He is currently an assistant coach with Turkmen Premier League team MTTU and is hoping to one day coach at the highest level.

“It is my main ambition to be a respected coach within my own country,” Garaev told the-afc.com. “I know I need to learn a lot more about coaching and also the different methods being used in the modren game.

“Eventually, I want to obtain the AFC Pro License. I know that I will have to work hard to obtain this qualification. I need to study, watch, observe and analyse teams on a regular basis. More importantly, I need to observe elite coaches in training sessions.”
