Ferghana Region Expands Ties With Malaysian Universities

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from Uzbekistan’s Ferghana region, led by regional governor Khayrullo Bozorov, has held talks with the vice president of Management and Science University (MSU), Indang Ariati, and the university’s senior management during an official visit to Malaysia.

During the meeting, the regional governor stressed the importance of education for sustainable development and noted that expanding international cooperation and academic ties is a key factor in improving the quality of human capital development.

The sides discussed prospects for cooperation between higher education institutions in the Ferghana region and MSU.

The leadership of the Malaysian university expressed readiness to develop partnership relations and put forward proposals for joint educational programs, student and faculty exchange initiatives, professional training courses, and expanded cooperation in scientific research.

As part of the visit, members of the delegation also familiarized themselves with the university’s infrastructure. Particular attention was given to the capabilities of the medical clinic operating within the institution.

Following the talks, both sides reached an agreement to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation and to develop concrete joint projects.

Management and Science University, founded in 2001 in Shah Alam, Selangor, is one of Malaysia’s leading private universities.

The university offers programs in business and management, medicine, pharmacy, information technology, engineering, hospitality and tourism, education, and social sciences. It is also ranked among the top 600 universities globally in the QS World University Rankings 2026.
