Ferghana region discusses investment cooperation with Japanese firms
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Ferghana region governor Khairullo Bozorov held a series of meetings with representatives of Japanese companies and financial institutions during a working visit to Japan, where the sides discussed prospects for investment and sectoral cooperation.
One of the key meetings was with Hividiko Ishadari, Director of Toyo Engineering Corporation. The sides reviewed proposals for implementing investment projects in the oil and gas sector using the advanced expertise of the Japanese company.
Toyo Engineering Corporation is a major Japanese engineering company implementing projects in oil and gas, petrochemicals, the chemical industry, energy, fertilizer production and infrastructure. The company’s core activities include engineering services, design, construction and commissioning of industrial facilities.
During the visit, Bozorov also met with Manabu Kato, Executive Director of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC). The sides discussed the development of cooperation and implementation of joint projects involving the financial institution.
In addition, he held talks with Shogo Ikada, Vice President of Mizuho Bank, Ltd., where the sides reviewed directions for further mutually beneficial cooperation.
Separate discussions were held with Ryuji Suzuki, head of Proud Partners Co., Ltd. The sides reached an agreement on cooperation in training young people from Ferghana for modern professions, facilitating their employment in Japan, as well as implementing investment projects in livestock production, including meat production.
Another meeting was held with Takahiko Takaku, President of Interactive Corporation, where the sides discussed potential investment projects based on mutual cooperation in various fields.
