Ferghana and Shangluo Strengthen Interregional Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Khayrullo Bozorov, Khokim of Ferghana region, held a meeting with a delegation from Shangluo, Shaanxi Province, led by Zhao Jing, Secretary of the Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China.
During the talks, the two sides discussed the expansion of bilateral partnership and prospects for deepening cooperation.
Opening the meeting, Khayrullo Bozorov noted that the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China is developing steadily, while interregional cooperation is becoming increasingly practical and productive.
He emphasized that the growing exchange of delegations and the implementation of joint investment and industrial projects are providing new momentum to bilateral relations and opening new avenues for collaboration.
Particular attention was given to the rising number of Chinese entrepreneurs visiting Ferghana, with all necessary conditions being created to support their activities. “Every investor can count on comprehensive support,” the khokim stated.
In response, Zhao Jing expressed satisfaction with the pace of cooperation and underlined Shangluo’s interest in expanding business ties with Ferghana.
She noted that Chinese entrepreneurs are closely monitoring investment opportunities in Uzbekistan, where favorable conditions now exist for implementing projects across a wide range of sectors. She reaffirmed the readiness of Shangluo’s business community to launch specific initiatives in industry, infrastructure, and trade.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed mutual interest in building trust and expanding mutually beneficial partnerships. The Khokim of Ferghana region confirmed his commitment to providing continuous support for investment initiatives.
As part of the visit, a Memorandum of Friendship and Cooperation was signed between the cities of Ferghana and Shangluo.
