Female employees of Uzbekistan Railways undergo medical examination

The campaign was organized by “In the Name of Life” National Breast Cancer Association and the Uzbekistan Temir Yollari state joint stock company at the support of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan Temir Yollari has over 14,000 employees, including 11,423 women of reproductive health. About 10,600 underwent preliminary medical examinations.

The preliminary examination revealed that 5,864 women had extragenital diseases and 1,115 women had gynecological diseases. The primary examination showed that there is need to examine female employees of the Uzbekistan Temir Yollari for breast cancer.

Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari selected women with high risk for cancer and they underwent additional examination. The cancer specialists examined the women.

The women also participated in trainings and talks to receive additional consultation on their health and problems.

In the result of two-day work, the doctors examined 269 women and conducted 512 consultations.
