Farrukh Usmanov awarded Japan’s order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Farrukh Usmanov, Director of the International Caravanserai of Culture, has been awarded the prestigious Japanese Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays.
The award was presented by Japanese Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Hatori Takashi, who praised Usmanov’s significant contribution to promoting Japanese culture and strengthening mutual understanding between Japan and Uzbekistan.
Under Usmanov’s leadership, the International Caravanserai of Culture has become a key venue for exhibitions and events dedicated to Japanese art. The center also actively participates in exchange programs focused on archaeology and the preservation of cultural heritage.
The Caravanserai was founded in 2002 by former President of Tokyo University of the Arts, Ikuo Hirayama. Farrukh Usmanov has been leading the center since 2006, further developing major cultural and educational initiatives.
