Fares for public transport in Tashkent increases by 20%

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Association Toshshahartranshizmat (Tashkent city Transport Service) is increasing the price for fares of public transport in Tashkent from 1 April 2011.

From 1 April 2011, the fare of public transport grew by 20%. Now, the fare for one side travel costs 600 soums.

New tariffs are set for city buses, trams and underground, as well as suburban buses within the city, the Association said.

Association Toshshahartranshizmat said that the growth of fares is connected with jump of prices to oil-lubricant materials and spare parts.
