Famous Indian film company begins filming in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- One of the largest Indian film companies, Panorama Studios, has begun filming the romantic action movie Khuda Haafiz in Uzbekistan. The film is directed by Faruk Kabir.

To participate in the filming of the film, 130 people from India and 30 people from the USA, Russia, as well as several European countries flew to Uzbekistan. From Uzbekistan, over 1000 people will be involved in the creative process - actors, technical personnel, extras, and so on. The budget for filming in Uzbekistan is expected to be about US$1 million. The film will be shot not only in Tashkent, but also in Khiva.

Further, the creative team will continue its work in India. “We are very pleased to be filming in Uzbekistan. For us, this is not only an opportunity to work here, but also to get to know the country better. The leadership of your country is now paying great attention to the field of cinema tourism. Soon the whole world will know about unique locations for filming, especially since the rebate system has been launched in Uzbekistan since 2020. I’m sure that after this you will have an influx of foreign film companies, and especially Indian ones, "said film producer Satish Sharma. He also thanked the State Committee for Tourism Development, the Uzbekkino National Agency and the Uzbekistan National Film Commission for their assistance in filming the film in Uzbekistan.”

At the same time, he emphasized that in the near future he plans to implement several more large projects here.
