Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Following the results of seven months of 2023, Uzbekistan supplied abroad vegetables and fruits in the amount of US$672.9 million. This is 22.4% more than in the same period of last year.
According to the Statistical Agency, the main buyers of Uzbek agricultural products in January-July were Russia, which accounted for 41.8% of all exports. Next come Pakistan (14.6%) and Kazakhstan (12%).
Azerbaijan and Tajikistan have the lowest rates - US$3.9 million each, as well as Georgia - US$3.6 million.
During this period, deliveries abroad of sweet cherries increased by 58.9% - up to US$52.9 million, millet by 157.7 times - up to US$19.4 million. The export of prunes increased by 72.6% - up to US$25.3 million
According to the results of seven months, the supply of cabbage sank by 35.4% to US$21.1 million and tomatoes - by 22.9% to US$33.4 million.
