The exhibition is continuation of the project of the Federation of Extreme and Mountain Tourism of Uzbekistan and NGO Rodnichok, which were the winners of the contest within the grant programme on support of socially important projects of the regions of NGOs of Uzbekistan in 2012.
The contest was announced by the Social Initiative Support Fund, Fund Forum, Public Fund for Support of NGOs and other institutes of civil society under Oliy Majlis, Republican charity fund Mahalla and the joint project of UNDP and Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare of Uzbekistan “Inclusive Employment and Social Partnership”.
The project is to support tourism in Tashkent region attract children and youth to study history and nature of Uzbekistan. The partners within the project organized children contest “My motherland”, seminars for instructors and volunteers, ecologic-tourism camp “Ecolandiya”.
The ecologic-tourism expedition “The mysteries and legends of the highlands in 2013” became logical continuation of Ecolandiya. Instructors, scientists and teenagers from Angren, Gazalkent, Dukent, Samarkand, Tashkent, Chirchiq and Yangiabad.
Children, who were not able to participate in the exhibition, will visit historic and ecologic objects of Tashkent region.
Leonid Kozlovskiy, chairperson of the the Federation of Extreme and Mountain Tourism of Uzbekistan and head of the expedition, said that the expedition fully reached its goal. The participants viewed the region, where ecologic tourism can be developed. He said that the work was directed at developing tourism products. He added that another goal of the project is to return buffer zone to national parks, which serve to protection of environment. The expedition also revealed some violations on environment legislations.
