Expanding tourism cooperation with Indonesia: Outcomes of the Uzbek delegation’s working visit to Jakarta
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of a working visit to Jakarta, a delegation led by Chairman of the Tourism Committee U. Shadiev held a series of important bilateral meetings.
The discussions primarily focused on negotiations with Chairwoman of the Indonesian Association of Tour Operators (ASITA) N. Rusmiati, Director of the travel company Aldo Holidays J. Samolang, Representative of the Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council and Head of Fayyash Travel & Tours A. Siswandi, and Director of the Islamic Tourism Research Center A. Ubaidullah.
The participants explored strategies to increase the flow of Indonesian tourists, particularly in the pilgrimage tourism sector and the Umrah+ program.
As a result of the talks, key agreements were reached on jointly improving tourism routes and services, as well as on promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism potential in the Indonesian market.
