Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- With the support of the Fund for the Development of Culture and Art under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 25 September, at the State Museum of Oriental Art, an exhibition of the sculptor Damir Ruzybaev was opened in Moscow.

The exhibition will run from 25 September to 23 October.

Exhibition “Sculpture. Painting. Graphics ”reflects the work of Damir Ruzybaev, one of the most prominent representatives of modern art in Uzbekistan, Honored Artist of the Republic. In his works echoes of the ancient culture of his native land and modern cultural trends are closely intertwined.

The vernissage presents more than fifty works by the author of various periods of his work: portraits, mythological images, genre compositions in which the everyday motif rises to the meaning of a symbol, sculptures of folk singers and jazz musicians, non-figurative paintings and graphic works.

The exhibition was organized in Moscow with the support of the Fund for the Development of Culture and Art under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the State Museum of Oriental Art and the Marjani Foundation.

- I am very glad that the exhibition “Sculpture. Painting. Graphics” has developed and it is a great honor for me to present works in Moscow, within the walls of the State Museum of Oriental Art. The exhibition was held thanks to the museum itself and its employees, as well as with the support of the Culture and Art Development Fund under the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan and the Marjani Foundation.
