EVO launches 4G LTE TDD technologies in five Uzbek cities
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Operator of broadband wireless Internet Super iMAX (EVO brand), launched technology 4G LTE TDD in five more cities of Uzbekistan.

According to the company, the operator launched LTE technology in Samarkand, Bukhara, Ferghana and Qoqand and soon will commission of its network in Andijan.

The operator said that 4G LTE TDD technology replaced existing Wi-Max technology in Samarkand, Bukhara and largest cities of Ferghana Valley. The coverage makes up 100% of territories.

The speed of data transfer at 4G LTE TDD network is much higher compared to other providers in Uzbekistan. This will help users to work with large volume of data via internet, play online games, watch films and listen music, etc.

As reported earlier, EVO launched internet services based on the 4G LTE TDD technology in Tashkent in April 2015.

About US$10 million was invested to the project. KT Corporation (South Korea), one of founders of Super iMAX, was an investor of the project.

Currently, the coverage of 4G LTE TDD technology in Tashkent makes up 97.4%, the operator underlined.

The company said that 4G LTE technology is currently serves as catalyst for growth of internet market of Uzbekistan, which creates new opportunities to develop ICT business in the country.

Super iMAX was founded in 2007 with participation of Sumitomo Corporation and KT (Korea Telecom). Total investments into company makes up US$31 million so far.
