The sides considered issues of broadening of cooperation between the Uzbek and European parliaments.

The delegation also participated at the session of the Uzbekistan-European Union parliamentary cooperation committee, which discussed current state and prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union.

The participants considered relations between Uzbekistan and the EU in the financial, economic, humanitarian and legal fields.

Head of delegation Paolo Bartolozzi (Italy) said the current visit provided opportunity to exchange opinion of bilateral trade-economic relations in energy and combating illegal drug trafficking.

The members of the EU delegation also met the Ombudsman of Uzbekistan Sayyora Rashidova and held negotiations at the Foreign Ministry.
