Euronews released material on the development of private aviation in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The popular European channel Euronews published on its website analytical material on the development of private aviation in Uzbekistan using the example of the new airline Air Samarkand.

The new airline, according to Euronews, will help Samarkand become an even more accessible city for foreign guests.

“The creation of any new airline usually carries some commercial risk. But as far as Air Samarkand is concerned, we have a good range of opportunities to attract tourists and business travelers, and our world-class schools and universities will attract students from all over the world to the region.

Air Samarkand will help in the development of Uzbekistan as a new tourist, cultural, business and educational center in Central Asia,” says Air Samarkand CEO Anton Khojayan.

Over the next 12 months, Air Samarkand plans to launch charter and scheduled flights from Samarkand to a number of destinations. So, at the beginning of next year, flights to the cities of Turkey, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and China will begin, and in 2024 cities in Europe will be added to them.

The publication notes that the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan have led to a significant increase in private initiatives in the tourism sector. Private capital in Samarkand has improved the city’s airport and transport links through the development of new airlines such as Air Samarkand. This initiative aims to unlock the potential of Samarkand for the development of tourism, trade, scientific research and other activities.

The construction of a modern airport, a tourist complex, and now the launch of new airlines creates a good foundation that will allow the city of Samarkand to take its rightful place on the tourist map of the world.
