Embassy: No Uzbek citizens among those affected in Bangkok

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Thailand has confirmed that no Uzbek citizens were among those affected by the earthquake in Bangkok.

In case of emergency, Uzbek nationals are advised to contact the diplomatic mission at +66 2 675 3995.

On 28 March 2025, a powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck central Myanmar, causing destruction and panic not only within the country but also in neighboring states.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the tremors were recorded at 06:20:54 GMT in the vicinity of the city of Sagaing, approximately 12 km northwest of it. The earthquake's epicenter was at a depth of 10 km.

The natural disaster was felt across many regions of Myanmar, as well as in Thailand, Bangladesh, India, Laos, and China.
