Elmira Basitkhanova to become head of Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis approved Elmira Basithanova’s candidature for the post of Deputy Prime Minister - Chairman of the Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan.

Prior to that, she served as Deputy Minister of Health of Uzbekistan.

Now Tanzila Narbayeva is the Deputy Prime Minister - Chairman of the Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan.

It should be noted that the law came into force on 1 April, according to which the President of Uzbekistan approves members of the Cabinet of Ministers on the proposal of the Prime Minister after approval by the Legislative Chamber.
