Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Eleven children who had been left without parental care have been repatriated from Russia to Uzbekistan, according to the National Agency for Social Protection of Uzbekistan.

On 29 March, a plane carrying the minors arrived at Tashkent International Airport from Moscow. They were accompanied by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan throughout the journey.

To facilitate the children's swift return, officials from Uzbekistan’s embassy in Russia ensured that all necessary documentation was processed in a timely manner.

The children have been temporarily placed at the Center for Social and Legal Assistance for Minors under the Tashkent Main Department of Internal Affairs. Of the group, four will be placed with prepared families through the Inson social service centers, while seven will be reunited with close relatives who have been appointed as their guardians and caregivers.

The social support for the children will continue even after they have been reintegrated into their families.
