Elections of the President of Tajikistan recognized as valid

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The current head of the republic, Emomali Rahmon, won the presidential elections in Tajikistan. This was announced by the chairman of the Central Election Commission Bakhtiyor Khudoerzoda.

About five million voters elected the head of state out of five candidates from five political parties in Tajikistan. Strict adherence to sanitary standards: personal protective equipment, medical masks, disposable gloves and pens, social distance.

It was noted that Rakhmon won 90.92% of the vote, the turnout was 85.39%.

Parliamentarian Miroj Abdulloev, representing the Communist Party, member of the Agrarian Party Rustam Latifzoda, Rustam Rakhmatzoda from the Economic Reform Party and Abduhalim Gafforzoda (Socialist Party) also competed for the post of head of state.

The elections were covered by about 300 journalists, among the observers, more than a hundred international experts: the OSCE, the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, the SCO. In their opinion, the voting process took place without any serious violations of the electoral legislation.

Although the final results will be made public no later than 10 days after the vote, today the headquarters of Emomali Rahmon are talking about the convincing victory of the incumbent president. He will have to lead the country until at least 2027.
