Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 5 February 2025, the eighth round of Uzbekistan-Pakistan inter-ministerial political consultations took place in Tashkent. The delegations were led by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bahromjon Aloev and Pakistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Syed Ali Asad Gilani.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to strategic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan, outlining key priorities for future collaboration. Special attention was given to coordinating the schedule of upcoming high-level and top-level events.
Both sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening cooperation in trade, economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian spheres. Agreements were reached on additional measures to boost bilateral trade and implement joint projects in key sectors such as infrastructure, logistics, transport, and agriculture.
Additionally, the consultations addressed the improvement of the legal framework governing bilateral relations, as well as enhancing cooperation within international and regional organizations.
This round of consultations marked an important step in advancing Uzbekistan-Pakistan dialogue, reaffirming both nations’ commitment to deepening their partnership across various sectors.
