Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A road traffic accident in the Nizhny Novgorod region of Russia has resulted in the deaths of eight Uzbek citizens.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Nizhny Novgorod region, the accident occurred on the M-12 highway.
The driver of the minivan, a citizen of Tajikistan, lost control of the vehicle, which led to a collision with a guardrail and the overturning of the vehicle.
There were 11 Uzbek citizens in the minivan who were traveling to Moscow. As a result of the accident, eight passengers died on the spot from injuries incompatible with life.
The driver and three other passengers sustained injuries and were taken to a medical facility for the necessary assistance.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, all Uzbek citizens were legally residing in Russia.
