The event was organized by office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Latvia in Uzbekistan, ITE Uzbekistan at the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Latvia.

The participants familiarized themselves with the realized programme on ensuring structural reforms, modernization and diversification of production in Uzbekistan for 2015-2019, tax preferences, list of the industrial objects, which are offered to strategic foreign investors for privatization.

They also were informed about social-economic development and achievements of Uzbekistan during independence years, as well as international exhibitions and fairs for 2017.

It was noted that economy of Uzbekistan rose almost six times during independence years. Uzbekistan actively realized the programme of measures on speeding up modernization and diversification of agriculture sector.

The participants discussed opinion on development of small and private entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan. They also received information on presidential decree “On additional measures on speeding up development of entrepreneurship activity, all-round protection of private property and qualitative improvement of the business climate”.
