Ecologic Movement of Uzbekistan marks its fifth anniversary

Ecologic Movement of Uzbekistan was founded on 2 August 2012 to solve tasks on protection of environment and population’s health.

Currently, the movement units citizens, who want to participate in protection of environment and health of people.

Ecologic Movement of Uzbekistan and its territorial branches established cooperation ties with the state and non-state bodies to attract people to protection of environment and legislation in the sphere. Currently, the movement cooperates with over 200 local NGOs.

The movement also organizes various events dedicated to protection environment, attracting population, representatives of the state bodies and NGOs, as well as media.

Ecologic Movement of Uzbekistan has 15 MPs at the Legislative Chamber and they participate in development of the laws of Uzbekistan. MPs of the movement initiated introduction changes and amendments to legislative acts, regulating the environment protection. Currently, the MPs are actively working on new legislative initiatives.
