Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An earthquake originating in Afghanistan was felt in Uzbekistan, according to the Republican Center for Seismic Prognostic Monitoring of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The center reported that the earthquake occurred on 13 November at 10:13 Tashkent time (05:13 GMT).
The epicenter was located in Afghanistan at coordinates 36.4° N latitude and 71.2° E longitude.
The earthquake had a magnitude of 5.8 and a depth of 100 km. The epicenter was 568 km southeast of Tashkent.
In Uzbekistan’s Surkhandarya region, located 362 km from the epicenter, the tremors measured 2 points on the intensity scale.
