Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan has experienced an earthquake with its epicenter in Tajikistan, the Republican Seismic Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
According to the center, the earthquake occurred on 8 July 2024, at 18:04 local time in Tashkent.
The epicenter was located at coordinates 37.83 degrees north latitude and 68.14 degrees east longitude. The magnitude was recorded at 4, with a depth of 10 km.
The distance from the epicenter to Tashkent was 393 km in the southwest direction.
