Earthquake causes no causalities or damage

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An earthquake, which took place on 25 May 2013 in Uzbekistan, caused no distractions or causalities, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situation of Uzbekistan reported.

According to the ministry, the epicentre of earthquake was at settlement Beruniy in Tashkent region, 35-40 km to southern-western Uzbekistan. The ministry said there were no causalities or damage.

According to Tashkent seismic station, the earthquake was registered at 03:18 Tashkent time on 25 May 2013.

The magnitude at earthquake epicentre was 5. The power of tremors in Tashkent city was 5 points, Pskent – 5 points, Toytepa – 5, Almalyk – 3 points, Samarkand – 2 points and Bekabad – 2 points.
