Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Due to a new type of coronavirus pandemic, the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission decided to suspend the export of a number of products from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), including buckwheat, rice, rye, onion and sunflower seeds, until 30 June.

The decision was made on March 31 and will come into force in 10 days. “The introduction of the ban will provide the population with a sufficient amount of such goods during an aggravation of the sanitary-epidemiological situation,” the statement said.

The Commission also continues to work to supplement the lists of goods that will be imported into the union duty free. They may include essential goods, food products, as well as raw materials and components critical for individual industries.
