Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A driver in Tashkent was arrested after dragging a traffic police officer on the hood of his car, according to the press service of the city’s Department of Internal Affairs.
The incident occurred on 13 July. The driver was operating his vehicle without license plates and refused to comply with the inspector’s order to stop.
Attempting to flee, the violator drove into oncoming traffic and ignored a traffic light signal. During the chase, he dragged the inspector on the car’s hood, resulting in the officer suffering a sprain in his left leg.
The driver was eventually apprehended, and a protocol was drawn up against him under the relevant articles of the Code of Administrative Responsibility.
The Yangihayot District Court sentenced the violator to 15 days of arrest.
