Draft law “On electronic commerce” in new edition discussed in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Committee of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan on issues of information and communication technologies held a roundtable to discuss a draft law “On electronic commerce” in new edition.

MPs, representatives of Central Bank, business entities, working in sphere of electronic commerce and electronic payment, NGOs, financial-banking system and others participated in the event, the press service of the lower house of the parliament said.

It was underlined that the draft law “On electronic commerce” in new edition will help to further improving normative-legal relations in the sphere.

The draft law, developed in line with international requirements, covers all directions of regulating electronic commerce. One of key peculiarities of the document is to register and execute electronic agreements. This will help to ensure financial stability of small businesses, their investment activities, improving quality and competitiveness of their products and services.

The draft law also includes development of perspective business of telecommunication systems’ operators, which engaged n organization of banking, electronic competitions, auctions and fairs, storage of electronic information and electronic documents of the citizens.

At the meeting, the participants made their recommendations and proposals on further improving the draft law.
