Djeparov helps Bunik hold Barca
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Reigning AFC Player of the Year Server Djeparov underlined his class when he scored the equaliser in Bunyodkor’s 1-1 draw against Spanish heavyweights Barcelona in a friendly here on Friday.
Bunyodkor are currently training in the Catalonian capital.
The hosts took the lead on 21 minutes through Carlos Puyol after Lionel Messi and Xavi Hernandez set the skipper up. But Djeparov equalised 16 minutes later.
Bunyodkor have been drawn with Iran’s Sepahan, UAE’s Al Shabab and Saudi Arabia’s Al Ettifaq in Group D for the AFC Champions League.
