Director-general of French agency JCI visits Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Director-general of the French agency Justice Coopération internationale (JCI, Justice International Cooperation) Karima Zouaoui arrived in Uzbekistan with a working visit to participate in the meeting of the committee of the EU project “Assisting to reform judicial-legal system in Uzbekistan”.

JCI includes experts of Ministry of Justice of France, National Magistrature School and representatives of various professions in sphere of law (lawyers, notary offices, judges, etc).

JCI is one of three operators of the EU project, which is aimed at supporting reforming judicial-legal spheres, the Embassy of France in Tashkent said.

During the visit, Karima Zouaoui met with representatives of the state bodies of Uzbekistan, interested in cooperation with France in law sphere. In particular, she met with director of the Institute on monitoring existing legislation under the President of Uzbekistan Farrukh Muhamedov.

The sides considered perspectives of exchange and expertise of legal documents.
