Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of cooperation between Air Marakanda and Utair airlines, direct flights between Samarkand and a city in Western Siberia of Russia – Tyumen – were launched for the first time.
The first passenger of flight UT-740 Samarkand – Tyumen was Russian citizen Vera Belousova.
The director of the commercial department of Air Marakanda congratulated the first passenger of the new flight, presenting a certificate for service in the new CIP lounge at the airport. Utair airline also congratulated the first passenger and presented her with a certificate for a one-way flight (round trip) on the airline’s route network.
Also, according to tradition, the aircraft arriving from Tyumen was greeted with a water arch, and sweet treats were prepared for all passengers on the first flight to Tyumen.
Flights on this route will be operated once a week on Tuesdays with departure from Samarkand at 20:45 (local time).
