Speaking about the matches against Iran, he said that Uzbekistan won two matches, but the squad was far from ideal. He said injuries to five players hindered the team to show its best performance. He expressed hope that injured people will recover to the FIFA U-17 World Cup in UAE.

Nuraliev added that the last match he fielded reserve team and the match showed that they were not ready. In the result, Uzbekistan lost the match. He added that the results of the matches are not significant. The main goal is to reveal weak sides to eliminate them.

The draw ceremony of the FIFA U-17 World Cup will be held in Abu Dhabi, the UAE, on 26 August 2013, Uzbekistan Football Federation recalled. Dilshod Nuraliev will attend the ceremony.

He said that he will not think of future opponents in group stage as there will be no weak teams in the tournament.

He noted that the World Cup will be attended by the strong squads of the continents. “So, I will not think about future opponents of our teams. We should wait for the draw and continue our work,” he said.
