Digital Technology Training Center Opens in Ferghana Region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan declared 2020 the Year of the Development of Science, Education and the Digital Economy. This is very symbolic, because for further development it is more important than ever to possess digital knowledge and modern information technologies.

In accordance with the third direction of the Five Initiatives put forward by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan - the creation of conditions for the wide and effective use of computer technology by the population and youth, attracting young people to entrepreneurship in the field of information technology, the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications, together with state authorities, continues to be created throughout Training centers for digital technologies.

In order to implement the Five Initiatives and strengthen the ideological immunity of young people, create conditions for the realization of their creative and intellectual potential, further popularize computer technologies, programming and robotics, computer games and e-sports among young people, improve the educational system in this area, the next in the Information Library Building Center in the Dangarinsky district of the Ferghana region was opened a Training Center for Digital Technologies in compliance with all sanitary and epidemiological requirements.

The center has spacious and comfortable classrooms equipped with modern computer equipment.

The main goal of this training center is to educate local youth in the basics of information technology and programming, robotics, modern digital technologies and to train specialists in this industry, covering about two thousand people a year.

In addition, the center provides for involving young people in computer sports (e-sports), teaching them the rules of e-sports, organizing team games, and conducting competitions throughout the country.

In general, in the period 2020-2021 in the region it is planned to open 19 such training centers. In particular, this year they will be opened in Baghdad, Rishtan regions, in the cities of Fergana, Kokand and Kuvasay.
